Algiers, March 22. -- A civil servant from Philippeville, Mr. François Martial, is said to have drawn up plans for a flying saucer.
The craft, which would be seventy meters in diameter, could carry thirty-five people. It would be equipped with five engines, floats and a special landing gear. The inventor said he would soom show the model of his craft.
A saucer was seen today over the village of General Belgrano, in the Province of Buenos Aires, and remained for three hours, according to eyewitnesses, to the northeast of this village, flying in rapid circles.
Another saucer followed by a reddish trail was seen last night over Cordoba, moving rapidly toward the east.
During a press conference, the director of the Pans observatory, Professor Danjon, when questioned about flying saucers, replied that he had seen too many collective hallucinations in his life to believe in them.
