JOEUF. (From our newsroom). -- The eastern region may well end up being invaded by beings from who knows where, if we are to believe all the witnesses who, in recent days, have claimed to have spotted flying cigars and saucers here and there—unless, of course, these are simply aircraft used in the large-scale aerial maneuvers currently taking place.
In any case, just yesterday morning, several dozen workers from Sidelor, living in the region of Lantefontaine-les-Baroches (Meurthe-et-Moselle), claimed to have seen six "flying cigars" in the sky above them.
"Between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.," one of them told us, "we were preparing to board the bus to get to the Homecourt factory when we first spotted two cigar-shaped objects in the sky. It was still dark, yet we could clearly see lights shifting from red to orange, growing and shrinking in size alternately.
"Shortly after, four more objects joined the first two, and they all remained perfectly still for a moment before suddenly vanishing."
These statements have been confirmed by multiple people. We add them to the ever-growing file of unexplained and extraordinary sightings, which seems to be expanding rapidly these days.
Yesterday morning as well, around 5 a.m., credible witnesses reported seeing what they believed to be a "flying cigar" at high altitude above the Petite-Fin district in Homecourt.
DOLE (from our correspondent). -- On Wednesday evening, two young residents of Dole who were walking along the promenade of Jardin Philippe witnessed a strange phenomenon.
We went to interview one of them, Mr. Jackie Chapoutot, 17 years old, who lives on Rue des Dames-d'Ounans and works at the Delbost factory in Dole.
He gave us the following statement: "I was walking in Jardin Philippe on Wednesday around 8:30 PM with a friend, Mr. André Lacour, 15 years old, a student at the modern technical college of Dole.
Suddenly, our attention was caught by a strange noise, similar to a whistling sound, though much quieter than that of jet planes. We then saw a bright green light in the sky, coming from the northeast and heading southwest.
This apparition, which seemed to be the size of a football, was followed by a glowing trail. The object moved swiftly and disappeared in the direction of the Ideal Standard factory.
We had barely recovered from our surprise when the object reappeared over Dole. It remained motionless above the large bridge for about four seconds, during which we could clearly distinguish its spherical shape, then it suddenly took off again in the direction it had originally come from."
Other people are said to have witnessed this phenomenon, which left these two young men very perplexed.
