THE PARTICIPATION OF MILITARY AVIATION
In all the north-western area of the United States, military planes are kept ready to take off to try to clear up the mystery of the "flying discs."
A patrol made up of aircraft with cameras equipped with teleobjectives on their board was organized, Sunday, with an aim of photographing the mysterious discs which have furrowed the sky of this area for several weeks.
"THE NOISE OF A TRAIN IN THE DISTANCE"
The mystery of the "flying saucers" is by no means cleared up, and new appearances are reported of these strange meteors of which nobody, up to now, saw even one close.
Up to now, the flying discs would have been seen in thirty-eight States of the Union, as well as in Washington [the state of Washington], and even in Canada. Twelve States and Ontario, of the south-west of Canada, are said to have been honored Sunday of a visit of the fabulous machines [meteor?]. A woman of Hagerstown (Maryland) states to have seen five of them which moved towards the east at an extraordinary speed, with a noise of "a train travelling in the distance" [planes?] (A.P.)
