UFOs in the daily Press:

Close encounter in Argentina, 1962:

This article was published in the daily newspaper La Razon, Buenos Aires, Argentina, on July 29, 1962.

Parana. -- Apparently, the vicinity of this city has become the favorite tourist site for the "flying saucers" and their crews supposedly from other planets.

One story is that a young student while en route in his car to Badaja Grande, about 5 kilometers from Parana, near the cement plant, saw a very tall being with a watermelon-large head, long almost white hair, with three unblinking eyes with fixed stare.

The young man stated in his haste to leave the scene his motor stalled for an unknown reason. The strange creature approached and violently wrenched away his scarf after which, turning in a circle like a "robot," it left the scene leaving footprints in the sand.

The student, Ricardo Mieres, age 17, is a strudent at the Parana National College and managed to start the car after the strange creature disappeared. He drove quickly to the center of the city of Parana. In the public at "Plaza de Mayo", Mieres organized an expedition with friends on motorcyles to accompany him on the spot of his strange experience where the scarf and footprints were observed.

Other persons testified that they had seen a strange glow from a space vehicle flying at low altitude which vanished at very high speed.
