Amidst a flap of flying saucer sightings and creatures encounters, the national newspaper La Razon reported that Ricardo Mieres, 17, student at the Parana National College, while en route in his car to Badaja Grande, about 5 kilometers from Parana, near the cement plant, saw a very tall being with a watermelon-large head, long almost white hair, with three unblinking eyes with fixed stare.
The young man stated that in his haste to flee, his motor stalled for an unknown reason. The strange creature approached and violently wrenched away his scarf after which, turning in a circle like a "robot," it left the scene leaving footprints in the sand.
The student managed to start the car after the strange creature disappeared. He drove quickly to the center of the city of Parana. In the public at "Plaza de Mayo", Mieres organized an expedition with friends on motorcycles to accompany him on the spot of his strange experience where the scarf and footprints were observed.
Other persons testified that they had seen a strange glow from a space vehicle flying at low altitude which vanished at very high speed.

Parana. -- Apparently, the vicinity of this city has become the favorite tourist site for the "flying saucers" and their crews supposedly from other planets. The author indicates that in Parana, State of Entre Rios, Argentina, on July 27 or 28, 1962, Ricardo Mieres, a 17 years old student at the Colegio Nacional de Parana, was riding his motorcycle near Bajada Grande, 5 kilometers outside Parana, when he encountered a very tall creature with a melon-shaped head, very long and almost white hair, and "three eyes which stared fixedly, without blinking."
Terrified, he tried to flee, but his engine mysteriously was dead. The creature came up and violently snatched his muffler from his neck, then it "did an about-turn, like a robot," and walked off leaving footprints in the sandy soil.
As the motorcycle now functioned again, the student rushed into town and gathered a party of other motorcyclists to hunt the "robot," but they found only the footprints, and the muffler lying on the road.
Several witnesses saw something luminous fly over at great speed at the time.
The author indicates that the source is La Razon, of Buenos Aires, for July 29, 1962.

In his catalogue of UFO landings, Jacques Vallée indicates that on July 30, 1962, in Bajeola Grande, Argentina, Roberto Mievres, 17, was riding his motorcycle when a tall being, with a head like a watermelon and three eyes, appeared as the engine stalled. The apparition snatched the boy's scarf, but he ran away and came back with a group of people, who found the scarf on the ground, discovered some traces and observed an unknown craft flying away.
Vallée indicates that his source is "CODOVNI 1962."
[Ref. jj1:] JEAN-JACQUES JAILLAT:
The author indicates that on July 27 or 28, 1962, in Parana in the state of Entre Rios in Argentina, a student tells to have met a character with three eyes who stared at him, who was very big, and with long hair on the head, almost white. He presents the case as having a "high symbolic value" and thus an example that UFOs are "psychic materializations".

The author indicates as case 155: "July 30, 1962. ARGENTINA, Bajeola Grande."
"Roberto Mievres, 17, was riding his motorcycle when a tall being appeared as the engine stalled. The being snatched the boy's scarf, the boy ran away and came back with a group of people. Jacques Vallée managed to publish a wrong date, a wrong name, and a wrong place.
There seems to have been no investigation, only the newspaper's report.
