Referring to Claude Poher's website, Luc Chastan indicated on his website in the 2000s that on October 1, 1954, at 04:00 p.m., in Pau, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department, "Thousands of witnesses observed in the distance, some with instruments, a round brilliant white object, it was animated by an undulating movement." It is added that there was an "official investigation".
