According to U.F.O. Informations, the ufological bulletin of the Association of the Friends of Marc Thirouin, #34, page 29, 4th quarter of 1981, the newspaper Le Dauphiné Libéré for October 3, 1954, had reported an observation of October 1, 1954, at 04:10 p.m., in Luc-en-Diois in the Drôme department.
The witnesses were Mr. Fournier, driver of the Brun establishments, and two people from the village who accompanied him.
When Mr. Fournier came back from a tour of Chatillon-en-Diois with these two people, they saw a phosphorescent disk passing in the direction of Miscon, above the mountain, at an altitude of about 1500 meters changing color from red to yellow alternately.
For a few moments, the "disk" remained motionless in the atmosphere, then "disappeared" towards the south.
Michel Figuet and Jean-Louis Ruchon had reported the same case in their 1979 book, but without giving any source.
