Summary:

In their ufology bulletin Recherches Ufologiques #5 of the 2nd quarter of 1978, the ufology group GNEOVNI reported that, according to their own archive, an observation occurred in Bavay in the Nord department in 1954:

"Mr François Marcel saw around 10 p.m. an orange-yellow fixed luminous dot. The shine intensified then very quickly, this dot moved while becoming white and disappeared."

Mr François Marcel saw around 10 p.m. an orange-yellow fixed luminous dot. The shine intensified then very quickly, this dot moved while becoming white and disappeared.

Explanations:

Map.

The poor quality of the report and the lack of a precise date do not allow to check astronomical explanations, such as the planet Mars, for example, and the low strangeness still leaves room for other possible explanations, an airplane for example.
