In a special issue of the ufology magazine Lumières Dans La Nuit of January 1972, ufologist Jean Tyrode reported a case of undetermined date between 1954 and 1956, in the Jura, near Coyron.
Mr. Prost, farmer in Meussia, between 10:00 and 11:00, was driving on his moped on the departmental road 83 going in the direction of the old bridge of the Pyle which was at the bottom of the valley of the Ain.
He had just crossed the straight line which borders the Coyron sports ground, when at the moment of reaching the turn which terminates this straight line, at which spot a dirt road extends the rectilinear part of the road, arriving in view of this junction, he saw before him a little to the right of the road something on the ground, which he first took for a cloud.
It looked a bit like a cloud, but when he thought about it, he decided it was not a cloud. The hue was gray aluminum, perhaps slightly bluish, which made the thing look like haze, but its shape was very clear-cut, elongated, elliptical, flatter below and with rounded ends. This shape was so clear-cut that it was not possible for a cloud of mist.
The dimensions were 3 or 4 meters in length and 1.50 to 2 meters in height.
Mr. Prost was approaching quickly, and he then saw, to his astonishment, the object rising above the ground and going off along the dirt road, quietly moving away from him.
In a few moments, it had disappeared, hidden from the sight of the witness by a wood that it had flown over at low altitude, taking the direction of the valley of Ain following a trajectory oriented substantially north-east towards the Orgelet.
Ufologists Charles Garreau and Raymond Lavier indicated in their 1975 book that the full name of the witness was Paul Prost.

In the ufology magazine "Lumières Dans La Nuit" N.100, ufologist Jean Tyrode reports a case of an unspecified date between 1954 and 1956, in the Jura, in Coyron.
The witness, Mr. Prost, farmer in Meussia, between 10:00 and 11:00, was on his "Mobylette" (a moped) on the secondary road D 83 and moved in the direction of the old bridge of Pyle which was at the bottom of the valley of the river Ain.
Having just driven the straight road section which borders the sports ground of Coyron and on the verge of arriving at the turn which finishes this straight section, where a dirt track extends the rectilinear part of the road, arriving at this crossroads, he saw in front of him a little on the right of the main road something on the ground, which he first mistook for a cloud.
The thing had somehow the aspect and the color of a cloud, but thinking about it he felt that it could not be a cloud. The color was gray-aluminum, perhaps slightly bluish, and that made it resemble the fog, but its very clear-cut shape drew his attention. The shape was lengthened, elliptic, more flat at the bottom that above and with rounded ends.
The so precise shape was not compatible with a cloud of fog. The dimensions were three or four meters in length and 1 meter 50 to two meters in height.
Mr. Prost was approaching quickly, and he then saw at his amazement the object raise above the ground and go away following the dirt track, moving quietly away from him.
In a few moments, it had disappeared, hidden from the sight of the witness by a wood which it had flown over at low altitude, taking the direction of the valley of Ain following a trajectory directed appreciably towards the North-East in the direction of Orgelet.

Meussia (the Jura), between 1954 and 1956, at about 10:30. Reference: L.D.N. of January 1972. A farmer of Meussia, Mr. Paul Prost, drives on his motorbike on the Départementale 83 road in the direction of the old bridge of Pyle. When leaving a road turn, and rather far in front of him, Mr. Prost sees "a sort of cloud" of gray-aluminum color. While approaching, he realizes that it is actually an object, of elliptic shape, with elongated ends, of a length from 3 to 4 meters, and high of 1 meter 50. The lower part of the machine is more punt. Whereas Mr. Prost continues to approach, the machine raised and moved away "gently", flying over a wood at low altitude. Then it took the direction of the valley of the Ain.

Meussia (Jura), between 1954 and 1956, around 10:30 a.m. Reference: L.D.N. January 1972. A farmer from Meussia, Mr. Paul Prost, rides a motorcycle on the D. 83 towards the old bridge of la Pyle. At the end of a turn, and quite far ahead of him, Mr. Prost sees "a kind of cloud" of gray-aluminum color. Approaching, he realizes that it is actually an object, elliptical in shape, with elongated ends, 3 to 4 meters long, and 1.50 m high. The lower part of the machine is flatter. As Mr. Prost keeps getting closer, the craft lifts up and moves away "quietly", flying over a low-lying wood. Then it takes the direction of the valley of Ain.
I do not have a justified prosaic explanation for this observation report. The closest would be a helicopter, but the "cloud" aspect makes it very uncertain.
