New York, December 19. -- A mysterious "sphere" that appears to be made of duralumin has been discovered by hunters near Albuquerque, New Mexico, but it has not been possible to determine exactly what the strange object is.
The sphere was handed over a month ago to a university physicist who specializes in the study of meteorites.
Mr. Lincoln Lapaz, who has not managed to identify it so far, which is why he has now made it public, hopes to have some information.
The sphere, which measures about 35 cm, according to Mr. Lapaz, was probably launched by a radio-guided device or was detached from a test balloon. But he is unable to know what it could have been used for.
