FRONCLES. -- On Saturday, between 7:45 and 8 a.m., Mrs. C... H... observed at Bel Air, just as daylight was beginning to break, a strange object in the sky. Coming from the north (direction Joinville) and moving roughly southward (direction Chaumont), a luminous red ball followed by a reddish and blue trail crossed the sky over Froncles at very high speed.
Obscured by a cloud, the sphere and its trail quickly disappeared.
The testimony of Mrs. C... H... cannot be doubted; moreover, residents of the southern part of the department, particularly those of the chief town, were also witnesses to the same phenomenon.
