Flying Discs Seen By Pilots

BOISE, Ida., July 29 (U.P.) - Two veteran United Airlines pilots last night said they saw a flying disc-like object shortly before landing at Boise.

The men, Captain Charles Gibian and First Officer Jack Harvey, were flying flight 105, the same flight on which Capt. E. J. Smith, another United Airlines pilot, reported seeing discs on July 4.

Gibian and Harvey made their observation last night while flying at 7,500 feet.

"We first thought it was an airplane," they said. "It was disc-shaped, had silver edges and was flat in shape. It was going very fast when it vanished from our sight."

"If the government is conducting secret experiments with such objects, they ought to keep them off the civil airways," Gibian said.
