PARIS BY NIGHT

A "flying cigar"
was filmed

by Jean-François DEVAY

We may have the truth about flying cigars on Thursday. One of them was filmed.

The happy filmmaker is Mr. René Valéry, the artistic director of the Olympia. He is a balanced man, very surprised by his discovery. Until now, he did not believe in flying saucers.

Mr. René Valéry was last week on his property in Savigny, a few kilometers from Lyon when he had the idea of ??looking up to the sky: he remained dumbfounded...

A sort of metallic spot moved slowly over him without making the slightest noise of engine or the least whistling of reactor. It trailed a huge tail of smoke behind her, unless it was a frozen wake like that left in the air by jet planes.

As a realistic Lyon resident, Mr. Valéry immediately understood that nobody would believe him unless... he ran to his house, came back with his camera and filmed the strange craft.

The sky was blue, the light excellent... the film must be good! The technicians are optimistic:

- With an 8mm camera like that of Mr. Valéry, one can obtain a very clear image of an airplane, "if it is not too far".

The film has been sent to development, it will be ready the day after tomorrow. Mr. Valéry awaits it with a beating heart.
