MELUN. -- Several road workers from the Department of Roads and Bridges, who were working in the rain along the Coulommiers-Meaux road, not far from the Quincy-Voisins airfield, reported seeing a flying saucer.
One of them, Mr. Bernard Goujon, claimed to have seen, in a field to the left of the road about 200 meters away, at the foot of a poplar tree, a strange oval-shaped craft measuring about 3 meters in diameter and 2.5 meters in height. It was resting on the ground with the help of three fairly tall struts. The upper part had a small transparent dome and seemed to be made of plastic. The entire craft was

shiny like aluminum.
Mr. Goujon stated that he tried to approach the craft but, upon reaching about 150 meters from it, he was struck by a tingling sensation as if an invisible ray was aimed at him: "I felt," he said, "as if I were paralyzed, and my vision slowly became blurry." I then vaguely saw the saucer rise very slowly without making any noise, and at about 25 meters above the ground it hovered for a moment, then, still without any sound or luminous trail, it disappeared at high speed.
Deep traces about 10 centimeters deep were found on the ground.
