The "saucer" at the Metz Fair was imaginary

METZ. -- Following the investigation opened by the military authorities after reports emerged that soldiers manning a beacon installed at the Metz Fair had seen a mysterious circle of light on Sunday evening, the military government issued the following statement:

"The press reported the sighting of unknown devices by an anti-aircraft force post deployed at the Metz Fair and Exhibition. There is no reason to consider this information in this particular case."

We would like to point out to our readers that we did not report this fanciful information.
