UFOs in the daily Press:

UFOs in France, 2000:

The article below was published in the daily newspaper Le Parisien, Seine-et-Marne issue, France, September 8, 2000.

Pontault - Seine-Port

A strange "luminous suppository" in the sky

The announced UFOs were indeed there. Christian Macé, president of the association for research on celestial and parapsychological phenomena, had predicted it... but two days late.

Ten years after important observations in Seine-Port and Melun, Christian Macé, 47, a resident of Bois-le-Roi specializing in UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects), announced a wave of extraterrestrial phenomena for Sunday, November 5. Many residents of the region smiled at the announcement of this prediction. But here it is... Christian Macé has just collected some very strange testimonies.

"I was contacted by people of good faith, who observed unexplained phenomena last Friday evening." So in Pontault-Combault, at Raymond Emile's, 60: "We were at the table, watching television. Suddenly, I saw something very bright through the window. A sort of craft in the shape of a luminous suppository, with a yellow and red trail that was moving towards the north. And then nothing. It's really strange."

Call for witnesses

Is Raymond sure of himself? "Planes are constantly flying over us. And I've already seen a lot of shooting stars. For me, it wasn't any of that." So Raymond keeps a camera on his table, just in case. "I don't particularly believe in UFOs. But, in February 1981, in Modane, in the Savoy, with a group of friends, we observed a luminous dot, bigger than a star, for half an hour and which disappeared in a zigzag pattern. We ended up wondering if the government or the military were hiding certain experiments from us!"

Same unexplained phenomenon in Seine-Port, also on Friday evening. Maryse Leygomie is driving on the D50, accompanied by her husband. It is 8:10 p.m. "We saw an elongated cone, bluish at the front, with a yellow fuselage. It was moving towards Corbeil." Is it the same UFO as in Pontault? Christian Macé says no. "The trajectory was not the same." The latter is launching a new appeal, in order to collect other testimonies concerning phenomena which may have occurred on Friday evening or during the weekend.
