And here are some mysterious craft in the region
It is not without surprise or suspicion that we hear of flying saucers, Martians and green rays.
Imagination happily straddles the limits of reality and jokers always tell you: "I saw a saucer".
However, it is necessary to find the truth in the declarations and surround yourself with all possible security before embarking on "the adventure of the saucers".
We can only report the facts that sincere people told us. In any event, it cannot be justified since we have not yet seen it personally.
This is how a phenomenon, which is undoubtedly not due, as in Marquise, to an optical illusion, was seen Sunday evening by several residents of Boulogne. We were able to reach one of the eyewitnesses, Mr. Marcel Thiébaut, engineer, living at 74, rue Emile Lemaître who told us:
It was around 8:30 p.m., Sunday evening, when returning by car to Boulogne, I saw in the distance on the Tingry plateau, two luminous discs, of a red color.
"At first I thought it was an optical illusion, and thought it was probably a sounding balloon.
"I stopped my car, and my family noticed, as I did, that there were in the sky at a very approximate height of 700 to 800 meters above the ground, two saucers with very sharp contours and well drawn.
"They were both on a vertical plane, and disappeared from time to time.
"This phenomenon, to which I refuse to give a name, was clearly visible for 30 minutes.
"Besides, other motorists stopped and looked at these luminous craft with me.
"It is very likely that in the direction of Montreuil many people must have seen the same thing".
There is nothing else to add to the statements made to us by Mr. Thiébaut, except that the mystery of the flying saucers remains unresolved and is only beginning to appear in our region.
