At the exit of the harbor of Calais, the ship "Veland" which had brought a cargo of ore, nearly created a nocturnal hallucination: its chimney is, indeed, surrounded by a circle of bright red color which is a luminous painting...
At night... this gleam shines on the sky and from far away, including the Faidherbes and George V bridges, it looked like a little ring of ruby suddenly immobilized above the ship, since the rest of the chimney remained in the dark!
