In Evreux, in the night from Sunday to Monday, mysterious craft were reportedly seen by several people in the sky of Vernon (Eure).
The son of a town merchant claims to have distinctly seen around 1 a.m. above the Seine river, an elongated object, red in color, resembling a large cigar which, in total silence, stood motionless at a fairly low height.
From this strange craft came a flying saucer that the same witness describes as follows:
- It was shaped like an oval disc of dark color, topped by a red dome with a very bright halo surrounded by flames. After flying horizontally it disappeared then was suddenly replaced by another one.
It lasted more than three quarters of an hour.
