Flying cigars, flying saucers, and other mysterious craft literally crisscrossed the skies of France yesterday, according to numerous reports:
In Bayonne: several residents of Bayonne, including a police officer, saw three flying cigars with the apparent size of a rugby ball.
In Nancy: several dozen workers from the "Sidelor" factory saw six flying cigars between 4:30 and 5:30 a.m.
In Le Puy: Mrs. Chamard, from the Girette neighborhood, saw a flying object glowing red at one end.
In Epinal: a young butcher boy saw a spherical ochre-colored craft, encircled by a darker ring, moving across the sky.
In Langeac: a white light was seen moving across the sky.
In Clermont-Ferrand, in Gelles, in Vichy: a flying cigar was observed.
In Plombières-les-Dijon, two gendarmes saw a flying saucer "shaped like an orange."
In Dôle (Jura): two young men observed a flying object shaped like a football and emitting a green glow.
