The flying saucer spotted by a mason and his worker left no traces

Amiens. -- A mason, Mr. Emile Renard, 27, and his worker, Mr. Yves de Degillabez, 23, claim to have seen in a field, about 200 meters from the road near Acheux, a craft resembling a truncated millstone on which a kind of large inverted plate appeared to be placed.

The two men, who were traveling by bicycle, stated that they then jumped off their bikes and ran toward the gray-colored object, approximately ten meters in diameter. It was slightly oscillating, and on its surface one could make out a sort of closed door. The device emitted no sound.

The craft took off as Messrs. Renard and Gillabez had already covered about fifty meters. Smoke was escaping from a kind of pipe located on its lower part. After an oblique flight of about fifteen meters, the device rose vertically and disappeared.

No trace of the craft was found on the ground at the indicated location.
