WASHINGTON. -- The U.S. Air Force is currently studying a series of reports concerning a mysterious visit by unidentified aerial objects - possibly a new type of "flying saucer" - in the vicinity of the U.S. capital.
For the first time, the objects were detected on radar screens - indicating that they are made of real matter and not merely optical effects.
It is reported that these objects were moving relatively slowly, at speeds between 150 and 200 kilometers per hour, and at times even remained stationary in one spot in the sky.
At the air traffic control center of Washington National Airport, officials stated that the center's radar picked up eight unidentified objects around midnight on Saturday.
