Oslo, 29 (A.C.P.). — The population of Mosjoen, in northern Norway, is convinced that a flying saucer came to visit them and gives no credence to the explanation that it was merely an American helicopter.
It will be recalled that last week, two sisters from Mosjoen claimed to have seen a flying saucer and its passenger, with whom they reportedly communicated through gestures.
The chief of police himself declared:
"If it was an American helicopter pilot, I would very much like to meet him. It is out of the question that a helicopter could have landed in our hills."
A cousin of the two sisters added: "Any helicopter landing would have been impossible..."
However, neither of the two men saw or heard the mysterious flying saucer. Moreover, there was no official information regarding any helicopter landings that day.
As for the American pilot who, according to the Norwegian Air Force, was indeed on duty in northern Norway last week, he has since returned to his base in Stuttgart, Germany.
