UFOs in the daily Press:

Saucers or contrails, Morocco, 1952:

The article below was published in the daily newspaper La Bourgogne Républicaine, Dijon, France, on May 14, 1952.

Flying Saucers

Ouaja, 13. A few days after the statements of several witnesses who had claimed to have seen, in the sky, above the Spanish zone of Morocco, what is commonly called "flying saucers", a few people were able, this morning, around 9:30 a.m., to see in the sky, this time above the French zone, in the north of Morocco, two large bright discs.

These people had their attention drawn to an airplane, flying at very high altitude and heading from west to east. Shortly afterwards, they saw two objects that they described as being two large, very bright discs that left behind them a grayish trail with a cloudy appearance. These two discs were moving from west to east in two strictly identical and parallel directions. The witnesses subsequently noted that the two trails dissipated very slowly, while remaining parallel. According to some specialists, it would only be a phenomenon of condensation, related or not, to the passage of an airplane.
