Yesterday, starting at 6:03 p.m., a strange phenomenon was observed by several absolutely trustworthy residents of Dijon. In the sky, due south of Dijon, a luminous ball was noticed, about ten times larger than a large star. This phenomenon was surrounded by rays and left behind a bluish trail. It seemed to be moving in a northwest-southwest direction.
The craft was so bright that it hurt the eyes to stare at it for a long time. It gradually decreased in volume, as a result of its movement, but the light it projected remained bright. Around 7 p.m., this phenomenon had disappeared.
All conjectures remain permissible and perhaps other observations made at the same time will subsequently provide clarification on this strange apparition.
