TWO NEW CASES OF "WINDSHIELD-ITIS" IN THE REGION

Two new cases of this strange condition affecting automobile windshields have just been reported to us in the region.

The first occurred last Friday, around 7 p.m. Mr. Georges Bouchard, a wine merchant in Beaune, was driving between Chagny and Chalon when, suddenly, his windshield became opaque.

The same incident occurred again on National Road 74 on Sunday, between Corpeau and l'Hôpital-de-Meursault: the windshield of a senior officer from Dijon's car also suddenly became "frosted."

Of course, the same symptoms were observed in both cases: a loud detonation accompanied by a kind of strange glow.

It appears that no stone-throwing was at the origin of these two new instances of "windshield-itis."
