On a UFO website, an anonymous person reported on March 22, 2013, about her UFO sighting of March 19, 2013, at 9 p.m. in Koenigshoffen, Strasbourg, in the Bas-Rhin.
This person took her shower, when she heard a really loud noise that alerted, and it was not an airplane noise. After the shower, she went downstairs into the dining room to smoke a cigarette, and noticed it was exactly 9 o'clock.
She then saw a flying object, and thought it was not a plane because planes would flash "red and blue on the sides" while this object was flashing in white. The object came from her left and went straight on as she quietly smoked her cigarette.
Then, suddenly, the flying object returned back on its flight path and in her direction. She looked "distantly what it was", standing there, and suddenly, the object "really lit white lights, very white, not pale white" that dazzled her. The person said that the object was 4 meters away from her and stayed there for 5 seconds "looking at me", "then suddenly the lights went out and I could not see anything anymore in front of me." The object had left but she did not see how fast.
Panicked, she closed the window of the dining room and rushed into the living room and there, phoned the fire department to tell them what she had seen, while her whole body was shaking and she had trouble speaking "as if I had a lump in my throat." The fireman on the phone asked her if she was sure it was not a shooting star, and she replied " a shooting star continues its path and does not come back to stay 5 seconds long looking at you." The firefighter would not answer, and she hung up.
She explained that during the observation, she did not think to take her phone to film the UFO, as she did not have the phone on her. She found on "Youtube" that a certain UFO was exactly the one she had seen - but she does not tell where it was shown.
She explained that when the object was close to her, she saw only its lights because it was a dark night, but by the manner the lights were set she is sure that it had a round shape and was "of medium size".
After going to bed, she was afraid that the UFO would come back, because "it had indeed stayed for 5 seconds in front of me staring at me." She strongly wonders why the object had come back on its path to come in front of her.

Hello, this happened on March 19, 2013 at 9 p.m. precisely . When I was taking my shower i heard a really loud noise that alerted me and that was not an airplane noise , later when I had finished I went downstairs to go to the dining eating to smoke my cigarette was 9 p.m. exactly when I was in the dining room. I saw a flying object and which did n ot make me thing of a plane because a plane flashes in red and blue on the sides but on this one it was flashing in white i saw its direction it came from my left to go straight on , so I smoke my cigarette quietly then suddenly this flying object came back on its track then it came to my direction , I looked very intensely what it was then I stayed . Suddenly it lit its white lights really white and not just whitish that dazzled my eyes but I saw the form that it was taking . It was 4m from me this object remained there for 5 seconds looking at me , then all of a sudden the lights went out and I could not see anything in front of me it was gone but I was not able to see at what speed. Panicked I closed the window of the dining room and I rushed to get to the living room and call the firemen to tell them what I had seen. My whole body was shaking I was struggling to speak as if I had a lump in my throat . So I call the fire department to tell them what I saw and then they thought i was crazy he told me "are you sure it was not a shooting star ? " so I replied: "a shooting star continues its path and does not turn back to stay there for 5 seconds looking at you " he had not responded then I hung up. At the time I did not think to take my phone to film I didn't have my phone on me. So I use my phone to go on youtube, when I saw the form of a UFO that was exactly what I had seen . When this object was close to me I could only see the lights because it was dark night , just with the lights I can assure you that it was a round shape and it was of average size ! So i went to bed but I was afraid that this UFO comes back because it had had stayed no less than 5 seconds n front of me watching me. And the QUESTION I ASK MYSELF IS: WHY DID IT GO BACK ON ITS TRACKS TO COME IN FRONT OF ME?

I know I am not going to give any certain explanation for this sighting at this time. It is an "unidentified" to me, but there are some things I can say anyway.
First, I am of course aware this story may have been totally invented. Even though it seems to "ring true", there is no shred of proof that it actually happened. We have nothing more than an anonymous report on the web; this is not an investigated case, and there is no evidence whatsoever it actually happened. I am certainly not saying this is a hoax, I am saying that I don't know either way.
Second, I wondered what the "best trivial explanation" of "less ridiculous trivial explanation" could be. Here it is. A patrol helicopter from the police flew by, and for some reason the crew decided to check on the witness' home, so they flew there and turned headlights onto the witness, and then they flew away.
Somehow I fell this is a ridiculous explanation. A helicopter, at 4 meters, or even at 40 meters, would have made a hell of a noise and would have been recognized as such. On the other end one must admit that the witness did not let us know whether that UFO was silent or noisy...
A smaller, less noisy, police of private drone doesn't quite make it either: no such object has "dazzling" lights.
What I am sure of is that the report would have deserved a field investigation. But, being anonymous, it probably won't be investigated.
