Portland, July 31. -- A mysterious craft was seen over the Portland airfield last night and after launching flares, it disappeared without leaving any further traces.
This incident caused a delay in air traffic at the airport where three planes preparing to land had to wait for fear that it was an aircraft in distress trying to land.
We also note that this plane had two red lights on the wings, whereas all civil and military aircraft in the United States must be equipped with a green light and a red light.
On the other hand, the civil aeronautical administration is not aware of any aircraft being reported missing.
