'DISINTEGRATE'

Sky 'Objects' Seen In Utah

Tribune Leased Wire

CEDAR CITY -- Another of those mysterious "objects" traveling at incredible speed reportedly sighted near Pendleton, Ore., Thursday afternoon was seen by three Cedar City residents just before sundown Thursday night, it was learned here Friday.

Roy Walters, airplane and engine mechanic at the municipal airport said he was flying a small plane northeast of the airport Thursday night at about 2,000 ft, when he saw the "silvery streak" approach at about the same altitude. It disappeared rapidly to the east between Cedar City and Parowan, he said.

Royce C. Knight, airport manager, saw the object from the ground and said wen it went out off sight, it appeared to disintegrate in a ball of blue flame. At first he thought it was a silver colored plane approaching the airport, until he saw the terrific speed at which the object traveled.

Third witness was Charles Moore, manager for Western Air Lines who was en route in the airport when he witnessed the phenomenon. He dismissed any thought of the spectacle thinking it was a large meteor or star until he heard comments of the two other witnesses, he said.
