The article below was published in the daily newspaper Le Midi Libre, France, on June 23, 1976.
The "Véronica" group asks anyone who observed an unusual object in the sky on June 2 at the start of the afternoon to fill out a "summary observation form" to be requested in writing or by telephone at headquarters of the association. According to the two reports received to date, the object would have had a spherical or rectangular shape and its brilliance was very important. But the information available to the "Véronica" group for the moment does not allow it to admit this phenomenon as a UFO, the sounding-balloon hypothesis not being ruled out.
The phenomenon would have been particularly visible in the region of Garons and Nîmes.
