Booked in evidence at University Police Station yesterday as "One saucer, flying" was a 30-inch silver disk equipped with an assortment of coils, condensers and other radio parts.
Radio Officers D. W. Sweetman and R. T. Smith found the fiberboard contraption, with a glass-covered dome in its center, lying in the street at Adams Blvd. and Brighton Ave. Witnesses said that several teenaged boys in the neighborhood had been sailing it from a housetop until it struck a passing automobile.
The driver had not been seen since.
