Chatellerault. -- Mr. Yves David, 28 years old, a farmer at the Bouloux, in the commune of Vouneuil-sur-Vienne in the Vienne department, stated that he saw a "kind of diver suit figure" coming toward him on the road to Cenon, on September 19 at 10 p.m.. craft that Mr. David cannot describe. A green beam of light was projected in his direction, pinning him to the spot. The craft disappeared vertically into the sky without any sound.
Mr. David stated that he did not want to say anything about his strange encounter for fear of being mock [sic]. However, he mentioned it to a friend, asking if by chance anyone had seen a diver suit figure. This is how the whole village found out.
