Avignon. -- The "Unidentified flying objects" remain in the "first page" of the news. They were recently reported in the Vaucluse and we have just learned that the town of Eyrargue (B. du R.) neighboring Avignon has been overflown twice by mysterious craft.
The latest was on the evening of February 1.
That evening, eight young girls, aged 14 to 16, residents of the family home, Beauchamp district, in Eyrargues, saw from their windows a strange craft moving near the buildings and above the trees, some 20 meters high.
For about fifteen minutes, these teenagers were able to observe the U.F.O. in the shape of a half-sphere, with a diameter of 60 / 70 centimeters, the periphery of which was very bright.
The gendarmes of the Châteaurenard brigade have opened an investigation, as well as the Vaucluse Society for the Study of Spatial Phenomena, which has taken samples of tree branches overflown by the object.
Less than a month ago, five people had also witnessed the moves, in the sky of Eyrargues, of a half-sphere of the same size, surrounded by red-orange and white lights which swirled. Before disappearing, the craft had been observed for about a quarter of an hour by the witnesses.
