5 U.F.O. in the sky of Orange, two in the Isere

A flying object, moving at a very high speed in the south-eastern north-western direction, was seen Thursday evening in Orange (the Vaucluse) by an officer of aviation in retirement, captain Maurin, resident of a house located on a hill dominating the city. The object, of lengthened form, flew, according to the observer, at an altitude of 3.000 meters. Captain Maurin, who belonged during his duty to the M.O.C. section of the Air Force ([M.O.C means:] mysterious heavenly objects [the French term for U.F.Os in the 50's]), had already observed, a few months ago, another U.F.O. in the sky of Marcoule (the Gard), his observation having been confirmed by several people residing in this city. Two other U.F.O's were observed by several inhabitants of Pont-en-Royans in the Isère. However, accustomed to the overflight of the planes in their flight corridor, the witnesses state that they are certain not to have made a confusion. Their opinion joined those of authors of similar observations made recently in the Drome and the Ardeche and the opinion of captain Maurin in Orange.
