"FLYING SAUCER" IN ALSACE

STRASBOURG. -- Three witnesses claimed to have observed, the other evening, for many minutes, a UFO moving in the sky of Kembs (Haut-Rhin), near Mulhouse-Basel airport.

The airport control tower also recorded a moving spot on its screens and certified that it could not be an airplane.

Miss Patricia Dziomba, a twenty-seven-year-old pharmacy technician, was driving her car in the La Hardt forest around 11:30 p.m. when she saw an orange luminous ball in the sky. Becoming frightened, she turned around and knocked on the first house in the village of Kembs.

The young couple who lived there were also able to observe the UFO, which, in the meantime, had come closer and looked like a "flying saucer lined with flashing white and red lights", according to witnesses.

The Huningue gendarmerie, which is leading the investigation, will have to examine the recordings from the control tower at Mulhouse-Basel airport where the moving spot was observed between 11:50 p.m. and 00:30 a.m.
