Many UFOs seen in Argentina

Buenos Aires. -- A flotilla of U.F.Os. flew over the city of Catamarca, 1,300 kilometers northwest of Buenos Aires, Thursday morning, said the local police chief. His men saw, shortly before daybreak, a formation of around thirty very bright UFOs, which, after a few moves at high altitude in the sky of Catamarca, disappeared towards the west.

The UFO file seen in Argentina thickens rapidly and seems to establish that the sky of the western fringe of the country, at the foot of the Andes, has been transformed for a week into a favorite maneuvering ground for U.F.Os.

Eight days ago, in Villa Mercedes, a small town in San Luis, 800 kilometers west of Buenos Aires, several people followed, in the night sky, the moves of about thirty U.F.Os. arranged in a V and shining intensely.

A similar flotilla was seen on Wednesday, in Mendoza, 300 kilometers further west, by a group of workers.

The center for the study of unusual aerial phenomena issued its verdict on Thursday: it is a known phenomenon, meteor showers that occur every year in the first days of May and have been called the Aquarids. This hypothesis does not seem to discourage Argentine flying saucer enthusiasts who continue to scan the sky hoping for an "encounter of the third kind."

In the skies of Ecuador

A cigar-shaped UFO was sighted in the coastal province of Guayas, south of Quito (Ecuador). A witness, an electronics technician, stated that the U.F.O., seen in the sky around 7:00 p.m., circled several times in the air, throwing orange, pink and purple colored sparks, the lights went out and the U.F.O. disappeared into the darkness.

Several other people saw this strange object which they said was flying very fast and at an altitude of about 650 meters.
