Saint-Quentin. -- Mr. Ruant, a farmer in Sinceny (Aisne), had been hearing for some time about people who had seen flying saucers and Martians. He fired two shotgun blasts at an individual he had noticed moving near some dazzling headlights.
In fact, Mr. Ruant's so-called Martian was only one of his neighbors, Mr. Faisan, who was trying to clean one of the spark plugs of his broken-down car. Mr. Faisan was not injured, but... narrowly.
