The Aubisque saucer

Continued from page ONE

"It was broad daylight and the sun was very bright; because of this I am convinced that I did not have a hallucination. About 40 meters from me, in a fold of grassy ground, a craft landed.

"It was made of gray metal and had the shape of two lampshades placed one on top of the other. It may have been between 3 and 4 meters wide. I was startled at the time and did not move, thinking, as I had often heard said, that human figures would come out of the dome of the saucer. But nothing moved.

"I then took several quick steps toward this craft and, suddenly, with a rotating movement accompanied by a dull, powerful noise, this saucer - for that is what it was! - flew up vertically, quickly gaining altitude and heading straight in the direction of the pass, toward the Hautes-Pyrénées. I went to the spot where the saucer had landed, but I found no traces, except a depression surely caused by the weight of the craft."
