Experts May Make a Tour of This Section Shortly.
That the stories told frequently in this North Country regarding "air ships that pass in the night" are not taken very seriously in some sections is quite evident by the following which appeared in last weeks [sic] issue of the Watertown Herald:
About every day now reports of aeroplanes come in. The air crafts are usually discerned in the evening and are recognized by a fast moving light in the sky and by the sound of whirring wheels. The adjutant general of the state of New York has not worried a bit about the supposed air craft of the Canadian armies which trespass over the land of the free and the home of the brave, but the state health department has considered these frequent apparations as indicative of internal disorders. Dr. Taddiken of Ogdensburg, a famous alienist [psychiatrist], accompanied by a staff of medical experts has arranged an itinerary which embraces practically every town where aeroplanes have been seen. An attempt will be made to correct the internal disorders which worry the health department officials. Those seriously afflicted with aeroplanitis can get a free treatment from the medics and are also invited to become the guests of the state at the splendid hostelry maintained at Ogdensburg.
