Did a flying saucer land in the Upper Jura?

Morez (C.P.). -- "We saw ghosts last night," said Raymond Romans, 10 years old, and his sister Jeanine, 9 years old, who live on a farm in Prémanon, on Tuesday.

It was 8:30 p.m. on Monday and a storm was rumbling over the Upper Jura region. Young Raymond, hearing the family dog barking, went outside and saw a silvery object about two meters high, resting on three legs in the middle of the farmyard. Frightened at first, Raymond quickly ran back inside, then came back out, armed with all his courage and a few stones, which he threw at the mysterious object that had, in the meantime, slightly moved.

The child then approached, and the shiny object began to move, releasing a blast of air that knocked young Raymond to the ground. His cry of fear drew his little sister, who also saw what everyone in the region soon called the Prémanon flying saucer.

Although it has been raining continuously since Tuesday, the gendarmes, who conducted the investigation, found marks on the grass at the spot indicated by the children.

Flying saucer or not, one thing is certain: Raymond Romand was so frightened that this otherwise completely normal child has been stuttering ever since the sighting.
