Hello,

Assiduous reader of information and files of your site for several months, I felt compelled to bring further information and to deliver my opinion to you on your recent article entitled "DICKINSON AND LUNDBERG SAY THAT THEY MADE ALL LARGE ENGLISH CROP CIRCLES," taken from the Scotish newspaper Daily Record.

At the end of this article one can read the following quotation of one of the two "circlemakers":

"Harvests are simply flattened with boards. The farmers can collect everything that we flattened and we do not cause any damage at all."

My father-in-law being a farmer in the Medoc, he has already been the victim of such "hoaxers" who had fun, again last summer, to flatten his future corn harvests to produce a "crop circle".

In addition to the fact that these individuals left coarse traces of their passage (bottles on the ground and other refuses), in which in this precise case leaves no doubt about the very terrestrial origin of the crop circle in this field, I can also assure you that the damaged crop is indeed unrecoverable, contrary to the claims of the " circlemakers " quoted in the article that you report for us.

Indeed, the majority of cereals are collected today by machines of big size, whose adjustment is far from being approximate, set up for the type of cereal to collect.

So, when the crop is flattened on the ground, as it is the case following the formation of the crop circles, the collecting machine is absolutely unable to perform.

And I think that for any person with minimal knowledge of the organization of modern agricultural production, it is superfluous to specify that the seedlings laid down on the ground by the "circlemakers" cannot be rectified and that even partially rectified the use of the reaping-machine to collect the destroyed crop would by far overweigh the benefit of the harvest.

So, it seems clear to me that these "circlemakers" very far from "not causing any damage at all" as they claim peremptorily.

The damages that they cause amount to thousands of euros, it is a violation of private property (agricultural fields are not amusement parks, as opposed to what they seem to believe) and they do admit that they do not provide compensation to all the "farmers" victims of their advertising stunts.

Indeed, one can also read the following passage in the article:

"The work is always concluded the night, usually without knowledge of the farmers."

Thus, it seems to to me as if these two people are really at the origin of all the crop circle phenomenon in England, as they claim, then theiy are liable to legal suits which amount to hundreds of a thousand of euros and so are the large companies who financed them.

It seems obvious to me that without the consent of the farmers, the pure and simple destruction of a large volume of harvests with the simple aim of maintaining a mystery (and fooling the public) or of making publicity, constitutes a nothing else but a crime.

In addition, I would like to know how, using simple boards, these people can sometimes be able to keep all the ceral unbriken and to apply the very particular effect on the plants that has been noted on some crop circles.

My opinion is that these two individuals are indeed the jokers they claim to be, but not for the reasons that they put forth...
