News and observation reports, March 2005:

Some of the UFO observations and ufology news in March 2005 are listed on this page. Please note that these are not studies, but second hand observation reports, although mostly obtained from reliable and well known sources.

SEDONA – The witness at 3:13 PM, spotted an unusual egg-shaped object flying on March 27, 2005. He states:

"I was looking directly east and I noticed a 30 to 40 foot long egg that had no apparent wings or tail. It first caught my eye because of its motion and its lack of reflectivity. Conventional jet traffic at 30 to 40,000 feet were leaving dramatic, growing contrails but this object was flat white and did not appear to reflect much sunlight. It was flying at about 7,500 feet and was about four miles away above Oak Creek Canyon. I watched it fly a straight trajectory (about 35 degrees) from east-to-north before it disappeared. It covered 50 to 60 miles in 30 seconds. Toward the end of the 30 or seconds, the object seemed to squirt forward and instantly resume its normally constant speed."

TORONTO, ONTARIO – The witness reports, “I saw a craft zooming by that looked like just a blur on March 19, 2005, at 9 PM, with four lights. Two of them were odd blinking lights. The craft was heading south towards United States over Lake Ontario. It was flying extremely low and really quiet. At first I thought it was some kind of bomber or something. But it slowed down, then took off completely. It didn't make any noise and that's what scared me. I've been hearing reports on news stations in America that lots of people are seeing something similar so I have decided to report this."

CALEDON, ONTARIO -- Last night I was going to my office at 10 PM, on March 15, 2005, and noticed a bright object through the window, that was changing colors, red, blue, green. It was a very starry night and the object was in the west moving in a small circle. I got my camera out and started taking pictures, It was strange because each time the flash went off it appeared to be coming towards my direction, it almost seemed as though it could see me from as far away as it was. I went in to try and down load the pictures but for some reason they were all black! It stayed there for around 35 minutes and when I went to see it at 10:55 PM, and it was gone. PETERBOROUGH, ONTARIO – On March 14, 2005, the witness took his dog out and noticed a red and white light low in the west moving towards the east. The light just seemed to stop. At exactly 10:05 PM, a large moving slow triangular object passed slowly overhead making a slow southeasterly turn flying at 1500 to 2000 feet overhead. The craft had a light on each corner that could easily have been mistaken for stars, but they moved together across the sky and all other lights-stars remained stationary. It just disappeared out of sight behind the horizon and buildings.

PHILADELPHIA – John Schuessler MUFON Director has obtained the following report: I contacted Michael Greene who lives in New Jersey. He and his eleven year old son were driving down Spruce Street after hockey practice when a very silvery cylinder shaped object caught my eye. It was a beautiful bright sunny Saturday morning at 10:30 PM, on March 5, 2005, so there's no mistaking exactly what I saw.

Mike is a teacher and coach and states, "It was moving slowly horizontally through the sky and was a very brilliant silver/metallic color. The sun was reflecting off it making it really, really shiny. I watched it for a good 15 to 20 seconds. I had to concentrate on the road. I told my son to look at it. He watched it longer than me. He told me that it was flying slowly and then it flew away fast. It was the height that a helicopter would fly in the sky only a few thousand feet up." This is his second sighting; he saw one near the Ben Franklin Bridge that was flying vertically.

Thanks to MUFON,

Kim Shaffer, State Director for MUFON Tennessee, reports on a sighting in Bluff City, Sullivan County, Tennessee, on March 3, 2005 at 09:30:

"Witness called to report that he had been driving north on Hwy 19/23 in Sullivan county when he saw a large, light colored object low on the horizon and moving WNW, against a very strong and gusty wind."

"As this object moved, it appeared to be in a state of becoming invisible. He reported seeing distortions which reminded him of gasoline fumes or radiant heat encompassing the object. Within seconds, the object was gone."
