20 and 75 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
On March 14, 1974 at 8 hours 45, at the office of our Brigade, we receive the statement of [T1], wine grower residing in the hamlet of [V1], community of [V2], born the [-] 1950, son of [-], French nationality, married, 2 children, who states:
On Monday, March 11, 1974, around 20 hours 45 approximately, I was driving on board my vehicle, on pathway connecting the hamlet of [V3] community of [V4] to the community of [V5].
Suddenly at the exit of the wood, I saw a form of 0 meters 30 thickness by 10 meters length approximately. This form was lit and emitted an opaque white light, but did not dazzle. In the middle of this form and 3 meters above, there was a kind of rather powerful projector which emitted an orange light. This one was approximately 0 meter 50 of diameter and 0 meter 80 thickness. I cannot say whether there was something between the form and the projector, because the light emitted by the projector was horizontal. This machine was between 50 to 70 meters of the roadway in a meadow. As soon as I saw this machine, I was slightly in skew compared to it and the engine of my vehicle suddenly stopped. I was driving at 60 kilometers per hour approximately. I continued to drive a hundred meters. I do not remember any more if I disconnected the gear or engaged the stop gear. Then I started the engine again. The machine was still in the same place. I did not hear any noise coming from this shape. I went to [V6] at my brother-in-law's and my sister-in-law's.
The machine had left. No apparently visible trace appeared on the ground. At one place the grass appeared to be flatttened, but I cannot state that the machine had been at this place.
On March 14, 1974 at 9 hours 15. Having read the statements above, I persist and I have nothing to change, to add or to remove from it.
