Ufology sources say that in Fragata Pelotas, Rio Grande Do Sul Brazil, on March 2, 1978, at 8 p.m., a blue beam of light reportedly struck 18-year old Jose Alvaro as he walked to a house.
He was on his way to his father's house to check that it was locked for the night, as his father was away. He never arrived, waking up in a daze sometime later, with the words "The task is accomplished" racing through his head and strange images of war running like a picture show in his mind. He slapped himself and found it was now 4 a.m..
Two weeks later during a hypnotic session conducted by psychologist Dr. Palmor Carapecos, Jose "remembered" being led into a room where a silver-haired, tall female entity with large eyes rubbed him down, forced him to have sex with her and then told him he would have another task to perform later.
Jose's mother had a peculiar dream during this time, in which she was told that her unmarried son was about to become a father, but the child would be born on another world.
Two stonemasons, living in the only building in the deserted area where Jose had met the UFO, reported seeing a strange light above their houses that night.

[Ref. jp1:] JOHN SPENCER:
John Spencer indicates that on March 3, 1978, a significant abduction case occurred in Fragata Pelotas, Brazil, remarkable because it has features that echo the earlier claims of Antonio Villas Boas and yet also has claims which predate the events at Gulf Breeze, Florida, in the late 1980s.
That day Jose Alvaro walked towards a house owned by his father to check that it was locked up, and he claims he was then struck by a blue beam and knocked out, a feature similar to the Gulf Breeze encounters.
When he awoke, he believes that the words "The task is accomplished" were in his mind, together with violent images running as if in a movie, again a similarity with the Gulf Breeze case.
Hypnosis sessions were set up by UFO investigators and a psychologist and during these, Alvaro claimed he was led into a room where a tall female humanoid rubbed him down and forced him to have sex with her, almost exactly like in the claims of Antonio Villas Boas in Argentina in the late 1950s.
[Ref. js1:] JOHN SCHUESSLER:
John Schuessler indicates that on 1978/03/03 in Brazil, in Fragata Pelotas, Jose Alvaro was struck by a beam of blue light while walking to a nearby house. He never arrived and finally regained consciousness at 4 am. He had been abducted, rubbed down by a tall, silver haired female being and was forced to have sex with her.
John Schuessler lists as effects an abduction, a time loss, a beam of blue light, and sex with alien.
John Schuessler indicates that the source is "Abduction."

[... Other investigation reported ...] Before we left Curitiba, however, we learned that a young electronics student whom I had intended to talk to in Pelotas, another city much farther south, was now living in Curitiba while going to school at a technical college. I had been told by a source in Rio de Janeiro that he had had a curious UFO experience while living in Pelotas in 1978. Pelotas is almost a thousand kilometers away, down near the Brazil-Uruguay border. A CHANCE DISCOVERYWe located the young man in Curitiba and he agreed to talk to us that evening when he got home from school. We met him in the small room he was living in. He knew nothing about the Maringá case that we had just left and we didn't say anything about it to him. It was purely by chance that we discovered he was in Curitiba. His story is that late one night he was standing at the back of his father's house in Pelotas and had seen a bright light in the sky. The next thing he knew, he was waking up an hour and a half later under a tree five hundred meters from the house. His case came to the attention of UFO investigators in Pelotas, and a dental surgeon who uses hypnosis in his practice agreed to hypnotize him in an effort to find out what had happened during that missing hour and a half. Several UFO investigators sat in on the session. When the youth came out of hypnosis, he found everyone who'd been watching laughing. Under hypnosis, he told of finding himself aboard a UFO, where a woman occupant had seduced him. A week later, when I went to Pelotas, I heard a tape recording of the session, and from the panting and moaning it was obvious that his experience hadn't been a disagreeable one for him. However, when he told us his story that night in Curitiba, he refused to talk about anything that came out during the hypnosis session. He would tell us only what he consciously remembered from the night the incident occurred. Then he said something that stunned both Andrea and me. Remember, we had just come from Maringá on an unrelated case and had heard about a brother having heard a message, something this young man in front of us knew nothing about. Here, in the tiny bedroom he rented in a rooming house, this young man told us: "When I woke up under the tree, I heard a voice say: 'The mission has been accomplished.'" |

This ufologist indicates that in Brazil in 1978, there was an alleged sexual encounter of Jose Ignacio Alvaro with a tall silvery-haired woman, but the case is a bit too similar to the Villas-Boas case.

Fragata is the largest district of the city of Pelotas, with, in the 2000's, about 100.000 residents.
The ufology sources seem to consider that since the case is reminiscent of a former case and a posterior case, it is somehow authenticated by that; actually, the use of hypnosis is absolutely not some sort of truth serum and it is not possible to exclude that it just was some memories of readings of the former case.
If one does not take into consideration the part of the story resulting from the use hypnosis, all we are left with is that the witness allegedly was knocked out unconscious by a blue ray, that his mother had a dream - possibly after the story of her son under hypnosis was told to her - and that two masons allegeldy saw a strange light in the area the same night.
All this makes it unreasonable to say this is a solid "abduction" case. The case moreover very poorly documented, at least for what I could find about it.
