A 53 year old woman reported to ufologists that on August 16, 1974 at 03:40 a.m. in Malesherbes, France, woke up and got some fresh air then went back to bed. She said to have seen through the open window a powerful ray of light on the frontage of house of a neighbor house. Looking down she saw in front of her at some ten meters and at the height of tall grasses in front of the lit house, two luminous discs that had "the apparent dimension and the spacing of glasses [specs]", "dull like steel."
The woman had "the impression that something looks at her", was afraid, went back to bed and did not sleep. The observation lasted a few minutes, there no were sounds, and no trace was found the following day. In the following months she felt and observed "many unexplainable things around her." She became tired and had a desire for sleeping without apparent reason as she had just been in holidays and was in good health.
She reports that while going to work, she felt pushed by an invisible force and fell, wounding a knee and feeling "a strong breath" above her as if something passed. She reports to hear noises from the first floor of her house, a strong unexplainable noise in her chimney followed by a smell of burning "without apparent cause."
On February 27, 1975 towards 6 p.m. she saw "three or four times" a "shade of human form" approach her house, then "a large bird without head", these "shades" giving her the impression to "to come out of herself." An oil lamp glass disappeared from the kitchen table then reappeared, the dimensions and the lighting of the room seeming "to have changed; capped of an aluminum paper." The cover of her bed "undulates like a snake", the bed vibrates, a pencil moves by itself. All of this happens only when she is alone. She thinks that it has to do with African masks that decorate her walls, removes them and all these phenomena are over since.

[Ref. fr1:] MICHEL FIGUET AND JEAN-LOUIS RUCHON:
These authors indicate that on August 16, 1974 at 03:40 a.m. in with Malesherbes, 45330, a 53 year old woman who remained anonymous, Mrs G., stood up in the night to refresh herself because it was very hot. When she was back to bed, she saw by the open window a strong ray of light on the frontage of the close house located at the west, which seemed to come from a source located behind a small building on the left of the window and to go up obliquely. She looked down and saw then right in front of her within ten meters and the level of tall grasses in front of the lit house, two luminous discs "which had the apparent dimension and the spacing of lenses of glasses", "dull like steel", according to the expression used by the authors. The woman had "the impression that something looks at her", became frightened and went back to bed but however without falling asleep again. This observation lasted a few minutes, while no noise was perceived, and no trace was found the next day.
Since her observation, this woman is known for having felt and observed "many unexplainable things around her." In the months which followed her sighting, she felt a great tiredness and wanted to sleep without apparent reason, whereas she had just had her holidays and was in good health.
In December 1974, while she went to work, she felt "pushed as by an invisible force" and fell and was wounded at the knee and felt a strong breath above her as if something passed by. In February 1975, she heard deaf noises on the first floor whereas she was alone in the house. On February 26, 1975, she heard a "strong unexplainable noise in her chimney", followed of a smell of burning "without apparent cause." On February 27, 1975 towards 6 p.m., she saw "three or four times" a "shade of human form" approach her house, and then "a large bird without head". She felt the weird impression that these shades "came out of herself" and that a "click occurred in her head as if part of herself went away elsewhere." Many "poltergeist phenomena" proceeded in her house, "an oil lamp disappears from the table of her kitchen" and reappears after the woman "observed that the dimensions of the room and the light seemed to have changed; capped of an aluminum paper." The cover of her bed undulates like a snake, the bed vibrates, a pencil moves all alone.
The authors note that nobody else observed these phenomena which occurred when she was alone, and that one day, she suddenly thought that "the people responsible of these phenomena" could be two African masks which decorated her room. She removed them, "and all the phenomena ceased."
The authors indicate that an investigation of Messrs Garnier and Berthaux is in L.D.L.N. N.149, pages 19-20 and one investigation of Mr. and Mrs. Berthault is in L.D.L.N.. N.153, pages 16-17.
[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:
Albert Rosales has in his catalogue the August 16, 1974, case in Malesherbes France: at 03:40 a.m., several observers saw a huge hovering cigar shaped craft over the area. Then two small domed saucer shaped objects were seen descending towards the ground, and later the witnesses reported seeing strange figures and hearing loud noises in the area near their homes. Rosales indicates the book by Figuet and Ruchon as source.
Obviously the summary report by Albert Rosales has very little to do with the report by Figuet and Ruchon.
A French ufologist indicated a "bedroom abduction attempt" giving a name of "Garnier" and a date of July 9, 1975, in Malesherbes, Loiret, in France, said to be from LDLN #317; this is possibly the same affair in yet another different version. This number of the magazine is said to gather "cases which evoke a possible abduction by extraterrestrial beings."
This story of an old lady having night frights, seeing lights and disks outside and feeling a presence, followed by series of "paranormal phenomena" and sorcery which occur only when she is alone and end when she removed African masks from the wall hardly offers reasons to see there anything more than a series of delusion from a fantasy prone personality.
