Ufology sources indicate that the national newspaper La Razon for November 25, 1969 reported that around Olavarria, in the province of Buenos Aires, in Argentina, on November 17, 1969, at 06:00 in the morning, Aquilo Ramon Acosta was alone in his farm.
He went outside in his yard to get water little after he woke up and saw at only 15 meters approximately fifteen strange beings in shining clothes, who lit the fields with very powerful lamps, and moved along the fence. About 10 of them were clustered outside the paddock fence, while another group of 7 were inside the paddock. Acosta could see them clearly only from the waist down, and said they were wearing a shining, transparent garment.
One of the beings came over the fence and approached to within 8 meters of the witness, with a rod-like object in the hand, that he suddenly lifted, and he flew away and joined the others.
When the group in the paddock turned their lights upon him, he felt a sudden heavy blow as everything lit up and, alarmed and stunned, he retreated indoors. From a window, during about an hour, Acosta saw the beings run along the wire fence that enclosed the paddock three times, shining their lights on the ground. They appeared especially interested in a dung-heap.
The witness' spouse, returned at the farm, found her husband shaking with fear and bloodshot eyes. A windowpane in the door was broken. At the site, journalists indicated that they had seen some prints of step resembling horseshoes, whereas there were no horses at that farm according to the witness. Many small holes in the ground and flattened grass were also noted. The dogs had remained unusually prostrated during the entire sighting. Acosta suffered headaches and other effects following the encounter.
Other people in the area are said to have seen these flying beings by night, provided with powerful projectors. An argentinian ufologist later assured that had been no traces of step. Much later, a Dutch physicist and ufologist indicated that according to a letter that he received from the Argentinian researcher Alan March, an investigation on the location had revealed that the witness had drunk one liter of pure alcohol right before his sighting and thus may have had not very clear ideas.

[Ref. js1:] JACQUES SCORNAUX:
The author indicates that around Olavarria, in the province of Buenos Aires, in Argentina, on November 17, 1969, in the morning, Aquilo Ramon Acosta was alone in his farm.
He went outside in his yard little after he woke up and saw at only 15 meters approximately fifteen strange beings in shining clothes, who lit the fields with very powerful lamps, and moved along the fence.
One of the beings approached to within 8 meters of the witness, with a stick in the hand, that he suddenly lifted, and he flew away and joined the others.
The witness was almost knocked off and observed the humanoids during one hour through a window. They continued to light the ground and the trees, and seemed particularly interested by the manure heap.
The witness' spouse, returned at the farm, found her husband shaking with fear and bloodshot eyes.
The journalists who went on the location indicated that they had seen some prints of step resembling horseshoes, whereas there were no horses at that farm according to the witness. Many small holes in the ground and flattened grass were also noted, whereas that the mysterious light was said to have broken a window pane, and whereas the dogs had remained prostrated during the entire sighting.
Other people in the area are said to have seen these flying beings by night, provided with powerful projectors.
Jacques Scornaux indicates that the source is an extract of the newspaper La Razon for November 25, 1969, and that it presents gaps, among those the sparsity of the description of the beings of which the height in particular is not provided, and the lack of information about the end of the sighting.
He indicates that the ufological catalogue by Oscar Uriondo, case C3-19; ref. 24, p. 31 and 100, pp. 53-54 gives a very similar summary, while the account in FSR dates the case at the 17th of November instead of the 24th of November and does not mention traces, indicating as source Revista 2001, #18, 1970, pp 4-8.
Jacques Scornaux indicates that A.C. Agostinelli, in a reference given in another issue of the magazine publishing the latter's article, assure him that there were no traces of step and that the date indicated in the FSR is erroneous.
He notes that Dutch physicist and ufologist Jan Heering, (in a reference 177) indicated that according to a letter that he received from the Argentinian researcher Alan March, an investigation on the location had revealed that the witness had drunk one liter of pure alcohol right before his sighting and thus may have had not very clear ideas.
Some of the sources indicated by Jacques Scornaux are referenced at the end of his article: Gordon Creighton, "Another Strange Affair At Olavarria", in the Flying Saucer Review, Volume 16, #2 pp 26,28, March-April 1970, and for (177), "A Comparative Analysis of 62 'Solid light' Beam Cases", an article by Jan Heering in UFO Phenomena, volume II, #1, page 50, 1977, as well as a "Letter to the Editor", by Jan Heering, in SVL Tijdschrift, Volume 4, #14, pp II-III, April 1985.
[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:
Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Olavarria, Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 17, 1969, at 06:00 a.m., upon arising, Aquilo Ramon Acosta went into the yard for water and saw up to 17 strange beings with powerful lights that lit up the area.
About 10 of them were clustered outside the paddock fence, while another group of 7 were inside the paddock. Acosta could see them clearly only from the waist down, and said they were wearing a shining, transparent garment. One came over the fence and approached to within 8 meters of the witness; he carried a rod-like implement, which he raised into the air, upon which he suddenly rose into the air and sailed back over the fence.
The witness then observed closely the group in the paddock who turned their lights upon him; he felt a sudden heavy blow as everything lit up and, alarmed and stunned, he retreated indoors. From a window Acosta saw the beings run along the wire fence that enclosed the paddock three times, shining their lights on the ground. They appeared especially interested in a dung-heap.
The visitation lasted nearly an hour, and a windowpane in the door was broken, presumably when the beams of light were played upon the witness. At the site, reporters later found traces, including footprints as well as holes in the ground. Acosta suffered headaches and other effects following the encounter. Strangely, he said that his dogs were unusually quiet, as though asleep, throughout the experience.
Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Gordon Creighton.
What we have here is a case with a single witness there, with no UFO. The information available on the investigation is very thin, but it seems that the case would be one of the rare cases of delirium tremens caused by too much alcohol, although it seems a little weird to me that someone can drink one liter of pure alcohol without more damages.
