Bob Pratt, US ufologist and journalist who much visited Brazil, reported that on April 3, 1965, at 11:20 p.m., two traveling salesmen drove to Fortaleza, state of Ceara, Brazil, when they saw something in the sky that resembled a bright red infrared lamp.
It shone a beam of light downwards to the car, then it came down, just above the car; which started to vibrate while the headlights went off.
They then saw another beam of light go down from the object on their vehicle, the driver lost control and the car skidded sideways and came to a stop.
The red sphere-shaped object landed in front of the car, and two humanoids looking like robots came out and started to approach the car.
The two men left the car. One of them had a rifle and fired at the entities. There was a sudden big explosion and the two men were blinded and could not hear anymore. Fifteen minutes later, they could see again, but the object and the two entities had already left.

Bob Pratt was a highly respected investigator, who did not just collect newspaper clippings of UFOs in Brazil, but went on location several times and traveled the country. I had the honor of exchanging some emails with him and I regret his loss. For what its worth, my opinion is that when Bob reported on a UFO event in Brazil, then it was a real report from real people.
