British ufologist Gordon Creighton reported an alleged event in Sauce Viejo, Province of Santa Fe, Argentina, that he said appeared in the newspaper La Gaceta, Cordoba, Argentina, on December 17, 1963.
Some unspecified night, César Tulio Gallardo, a railway worker, was sitting in his quarters in a stationary coach on a siding, reading his paper and listening to the radio, when suddenly the radio failed and his carbide lamp went out.
He went outside to see what was causing this, but seeing strange lights, came in again and shut the door. At that moment, "a being totally surrounded by lights" came in at the door at the other end of the coach. The dazzle from this entity was so terrible that the man shielded his eyes with his newspaper, whereupon the entity snatched the paper from him and tore it up.
Gallardo was able to note that the visitor's legs were clad in some sort of dark, shiny cloth.
The visitor then seized an oilcan and emptied its contents into a sort of bottle which he produced from his clothing, then vanished through the same door where he had entered.
Shortly after Gallardo had told the police, passengers on an incoming train reported that they had just seen "a luminous man" walking along the railway track.

Gordon Creighton indicates that the sources are La Gaceta, of Cordoba, and the Flying Saucer Review, January-February 1966.
[Ref. lo1:] CORAL AND JIM LORENZEN:
The authors indicate that one of the strangest of the horde of occupant sightings was in December, 1963, at Sauce Viejo, Santa Fe Province, Argentina. No craft was seen but the "humanoid" was certainly "out of this world."
Railroad worker Cesar Tulio Gallardo was sitting and reading in a coach on a siding when suddenly the radio failed and his carbide lamp went out.
He went outside, saw some strange lights, came in again, and closed the door. At that moment a "being," totally surrounded by "light," came in from the door at the other end of the coach. The dazzle from the light was so great that Gallardo shielded his eyes with the paper, whereupon the entity snatched the paper away from him and tore it up. The weird visitor then grabbed an oil can and emptied its contents into a sort of bottle he had with him, and left as abruptly as he had entered.
The only thing Gallardo could see with clarity was the being's legs which were clad in some sort of dark, shiny material.
Shortly after, Gallardo reported his experience to police, passengers on an incoming train told of seeing "a luminous man" walking along the railway track as their train approached the city.
[Ref. jv1:] JACQUES VALLEE:
In his catalogue of UFO landings, Jacques Vallée indicates that on December 16, 1965, in Sauce Viejo, Argentina, a railroad worker, Cesar T. Gallardo, was surprised when his carbide lamp and his radio stopped working. He saw strange lights outside the sleeping coach where he was reading, and a luminous being whose legs were clad in shiny dark cloth came in, tore up his newspaper, poured the contents of an oil can into a small bottle and went away, leaving the witness amazed. Other people saw "a luminous man" walking along the tracks.
Vallée indicates that there was a police report and that his source is "FSR 66, 1."

[Ref. go1:] GODELIEVE VAN OVERMEIRE:
The author indicates that on December 16, 1963, in Argentina, in Sauce Viejo, railwayman Cesar Tullio Gallardo was in a sleeping car and noted the failure of his radio set and saw his carbide lamp dying out. Plunged in the darkness, he saw strange gleams outside the coach.
A man, dressed up to half-body of a scintillating outfit entered the compartment, tore the part of the newspaper which the railwayman was reading and poured the oil of a can in a bottle that he carried.
Two other witnesses saw "a luminous man" walking on the track.
Godelieve van Overmeire indicates that the source is Henry Durrant, "Premières enquêtes sur les humanoïdes ET", Laffont, 1977, page 102.
[Ref. jr1:] JEAN-PAUL RONECKER:
The author indicates that one night of December 1963, in Sauce Viejo, province of Santa Fe, Argentina, railwayman César Tullio Gallardo had sat in the compartment of a coach stationed on a siding and read a newspaper at the same time as he listened to the radio, when the radio died out suddenly, as well as his lamp.
The puzzled man went outside to see what was the cause, but when he saw weird lights outside, he immediately went back in and closed the door.
At this time, "a being completely surrounded of light" entered the door at the other end of the coach. The light was so intense that the railwayman protected his eyes using his newspaper. The mysterious entity then took the newspaper off the man's hands and tore it, then seized an oil can and poured the content in a kind of small container attached on its clothing, and left quietly by where he came in.
The author indicates that his source is the Flying Saucer Review for January/February 1966.
[Ref. dj1:] DONALD JOHNSON:
Donald Johnson indicates that on or about the night of December 17, 1963 in Sauce Viejo, Argentina, railroad worker C. Tulio Gallardo saw lights appear outside his railroad coach at the same time that his radio and carbide lamp died. A luminous entity entered the coach, tore up the newspaper the witness had used to shield his eyes, grabbed an oilcan, and then left. Other passengers on an incoming train saw the entity leaving.
The sources are indicated as the Flying Saucer Review, January-February 1966, page 25, citing La Gaceta, for December 17, 1963.
[Ref. ud1:] "UFODNA" WEBSITE:
The website indicates that on December 16, 1965 at 09:00 p.m., in Sauce Viejo, Argentina, strange lights and a luminous being appeared. A railroad worker, Cesar T. There was a police report.
The website notes that "Objects were observed. Electromagnetic effects were noted. Multiple independent witnesses. More than one light was observed by one experienced male witness on a railroad (Gallardo, C). One being, wearing a luminous suit, was seen."

[Ref. ud2:] SITE INTERNET "UFODNA":
The web site records the same case a second time, indicating that on December 17, 1965, at night, in Sauce Viejo, Argentina, a railroad worker C. Tulio Gallardo saw lights outside his railroad coach, radio, carbide lamp die. A luminous entity entered, tore up the newspaper witness used to shield his eyes, seized oil can, left. The passengers of incoming train saw it.
The website comments that "Objects were observed. Electromagnetic effects were noted. Multiple independent witnesses."
The sources are indicated as "FSR, FSR (formerly Flying Saucer Review), FSR, London, 1966" and "GEPA, Phenomenes Spatiaux."
Here again Jacques Vallée is mistaken with the year and allots a precise day to an occurrence which precisely does not have any precise day in the previous sources, by confusing the date a newspaper published about it with the date when it occurred.
Although without UFO, the case is no less of high strangeness as noted by the Lorenzens, however the primary sources are not available to me and there does not seem there was any investigation or checking.
