In his book "Preuves Scientifiques OVNIS" in 1981, Jean-Charles Fumoux claims that Leon B Visse, presumedly expert in histons, proteins of the chromosomes, was invited in 1959 at the US Air Force base of Wright-Patterson, where he was asked him to make measurements of the "histonic weight" of particular cells, that he found much lower than in the human cells, prompting him to ask what life form they were from.
To his amazement, Visse was taken along in a special room where two humanoid corpses of more than 2.10 meters were stored, having suffered damage as in an accident. The heads were intact, with high and broad faces, very long blonde hair, eyes stretched towards the temples which gave them an Asian look, a small nose, a small mouth with perfectly traced thin lips.
In spite of small differences in their facial aspects, the humanoids resembled twins. The bodies had been preserved in formaldehyde but remained perfectly white, apparently missing melanine pigment. The eyes were light blue and seemed nothing different from the normal. The hands were like those of human but thin, whereas their feet were absolutely flat, with little toes.

They say that the Air Force report provides actual witness statements that support this explanation, one of them being:

But instead, the noises became more precise: my contact man was Dr. Leon Visse, I was told he lived in a small place near Montlucon", we know his work. Werner Walter indicates that Vallée indeed visited this man at that time, but the thing had nothing to do with his medical work nor with UFOs and aliens and was of private nature.

Obviously the story was taken from Jean-Charles Fumoux in several later sources but never really investigated.
The explanation by the Skeptical Enquirer article is nevertheless remarkably stupid. The authors think that the mention than the alien looked like twins is a sign that they were actually anthropomorphic dummies. One wonders why they should be 2.10 meters tall, with lon blonde hair, and kept in formaldehyde! This is a fine example of nonsensical skeptical approach; in which everyhting in a report is silenced except the one detail that seems to prove a point.
Moreover, it seems to me after checking, that none of the US Air Force reports of the Roswell incident mentions any testimony by Leon Visse.
Insofar as I could check, I found absolutely no trace of any "Leon B. Visse" or "Leon Visse" in Montluçon and in the Allier department or elsewhere in France as of 2008. I found nobody in the field of biology or genetics of that name in any of the database of scientific papers. The only mention of one Leon Visse I found was that on Léon Visse, of Algiers, Algeria, in 1952 at the time a French-controlled territory, wrote a paper titled "Genèse des gites phosphatés du Sud-Est Algéro-Tunisien"; i.e., a geology paper, with absolutely nothing to do with biology.
It should be noted that "Léon Visse" is very, very infrequent name in France, since this is the only reference to that name I could find on the Internet and French phonebooks.
Of course it is totally silly that the US military should need a French citizen, apparently a geologist and not a biologist, or even a French biologist, to help them, and even sillier that they would show him alien bodies and have him swear a 10 years secrecy when the "need-to-know" rule applies and they would simply rather not show any alien bodies.
