SPRING 1955, CHANTILLY, OISE, FRANCE, SUZANNE L.:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

French ufologist Joel Mesnard reports a case of "gracious blondes" about which he wonders whether it should really be linked to the matter of the "Men in Black." He explains the collected three cases of this kind which he published in issue 332 of Lumières Dans La Nuit, in 1995, and that while it is quite difficult to form an opinion about the "Men in Black" testimonys, this kind of testimonys, if only because of their scarcity, are even more difficult to judge since the background information is obviously insufficient.

He reports that around 1 p.m. a Saturday of 1959, perhaps in the spring, Suzanne L. took a train at the station of Creil, in the Oise, to go to Paris. The train was crammed, but a bench had remained unoccupied although many travellers were standing; she sat down there, and there were on the bench opposite he two pretty blonde young women who resembled each other like twins.

Suzanne's attention was very quickly monopolized by these two young women whose face of European type expressed a great serenity, with the rather high knobs, blue eyes rather definitely stretched towards the temples, a normal tanned dye, hair going down to the shoulders. They were dressed in pale green dressed and white blouses and did not have any bags.

Suzanne affirmed to Joel Mesnard in 1990 that at no time their glance crossed as the girls looked slightly above the heads of the travellers, and rather towards the outside of the train. They only exchanged between them some vague whispers, sitting there "as if they had been in a living room", and the free seats remained free all the way to Paris.

When the train arrived at the station Gare du Nord, Suzanne prepared to step out, and a short moment, she lost the two young women; she sought them in vain: they weren't any more in the wagon, nor on the quay.

The next day, Suzanne went to the 8 hours mass, where there was only few people. She walked to her usual place, when she saw that the two young women of the day before were already sitting there. She sat behind them, and again felt "as on another plan", so much that she could not follow the mass. she stated: "What emanated from them was so powerful that I had the impression not to be myself anymore." This time again it seemed to her that the two young women had disappeared on the spot, she was unable to explain how.

Three years later, in Châtel, in the Bourbonnais, she observed a luminous ball which emitted intermittent beams, "like signals", and disappeared by taking altitude. Later still, she saw in middle of the night at her home a character appear, and disappear as by enchantement.

Narratives:

[Ref. jm2:] JOEL MESNARD:

The ufologist wonders whether it might be that characters in public places have only a human appearance and are in fact extraterrestrials among us, idea which excites imaginations, and which inspired innumerable science fiction authors. He specifies that this kind of literature is at the opposite of his concerns, and that he is interested in reality and wants to try to explore some of its "hidden" aspects.

He explains that there are some testimonys which are a priori as respectable as the others, and which seems to give a certain consistency to the rumours of the presence among us of characters radically foreign to our species under quasi-human appearances.

He explains that publishing such testimonys is at the limits of ufology, but not out of limits, and that he will take care not to draw the least conclusion which would be likely premature or excessive, and that he does not seek to spread as an established truth the notion that we would be infiltrated by extraterrestrials eventhough some clues seem to go more or less in that direction, which are clues only, based on a very small number of testimonys, without any beginning of proof, not allowing to seriously found a conviction, and even less, to propagate it. He however does not want to adopt the attitude of dismissal under the pretext of improbability.

Joel Mesnard indicates that he collected the testimony of Suzanne five years ago. She is a woman who had three children and is now a grandmother, living the area of Chantilly in the Oise, her husband and her are practicing catholics.

In 1959, perhaps in the spring, around 1 p.m., she boarded a non-stop train to go to the Paris station "La Gare du Nord". The train was crammed but nobody came to sit down on a certain bench vis-a-vis two pretty fair young women who resembled each other like twins. Suzanne sat down there, whereas the place at her side remained free until Paris, while travellers who stood were very tight together.

She quickly focused her attention on the two women, their face expressed an astonishing serenity. Their eyes were blue, rather clearly stretched towards the temples, she compared their face with that of Patricia Kaas, speaking about European type, but with high knobs.

Their dye was normal, the skin slightly tanned, the hair going down to the shoulders. They were dressed in pale green jackeets and white blouses and did not have purses or bags.

At no time did they crossed the glance of Suzanne, looking slightly above the travellers' heads, rather towards the outside of the train, and they exchanged only some vague inintelligibles murmurs between them. They sat there "as if they were in a living room."

When the train arrived in the station, Suzanne prepared to go down, and completely lost sight of the two young women one moment, and when she tried to look at them again, they had disappeared, and were found neither in the coach nor on the quay.

The next, a Sunday, Suzanne went to the 8 hours mass, little attended, she went to her usual place and realized that the two young women had sat there already, and she sat behind them.

she again felt "as on another plan" and had much difficulty to follow the mass, because "what emanated from them was so powerful, that I had the impression not to be myself anymore." It seemed to her that the two young women again disappeared "on the spot", and she was unable to specify how.

Joel Mesnard indicates other experiences reported by Suzanne: one evening, about 1962, in Châtel in the Bourbonnais, she saw a luminous ball which was initially motionless and emitted intermittent beams, like signals, before disappearing by taking altitude.

In the night from the March 6 to 7, 1975, Suzanne awoke with the impression that there was somebody in the house, whereas her husband slept. She was anxious and started to pray.

Suddenly, there was a very loud noise of broken crockery, and she and her husband stood up fast, sure that it came from the dresser in the living room, but it was not the case since they sought everywhere but found no broken glass.

The husband fell asleep again rather quickly, but Suzanne could not sleep, and after a while, she distinguished a gleam in the hallway, she stood up silently, came out of the bedroom, and discovered a very beautiful man in the hallway, with corrugated fair hair, a long yellow dress and a white scarf, floating, and he walked cautiously, but with his feet not touching the ground.

He crossed her glance, appeared surprised, and seemed to disappear in the wall almost immediately. The next day morning, she found the house bathed in an unusual light, also noticed by her children. Quantity of good things occurred in the following days.

At the age of 10 or 12, it happened that whe woke up with a pain in the fingers, "as if one pulled out the nerves", it sometimes happened to her by day but it happened especially by night, which recalls to Joel Mesnard the cases of Rose and Catherine in #314 of the magazine on pages 25 and 30, and another new case of right annular finger presenting an abnormal length, which he will evoke soon.

Mesnard explains that this all might seem far-fetched to the reader, but knowing the witness personality makes it more credible.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Chantilly, Oise, France, on Spring 1959, at 01:00 p.m., the witness, Suzanne boarded a non-stop train, which was headed north to Paris. In this crammed train she encountered two pretty young blond women, identical to each other like twins. As she approached them, they suddenly disappeared in plain sight. The following day on Sunday, she went to Catholic mass at 08:00 a.m., and again encountered the same two identical blond women. Again as she attempted to approach them they again vanished in plain sight.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Joel Mesnard, LDLN #332.

Points to consider:

I see nothing to add to the comment by Joël Mesnard that it is quite difficult see a connection with the "Men in Black" testimonys, the more so with the question of UFO occupants, and even more difficult to judge this affaire of "gracious blondes" since the background information is obviously insufficient.

Left: Suzanne compared the face of the two women to that of French pop singer Patricia Kaas, who reached wide celebrity in 1987.
